Natalie Walker, Chief Executive Officer
Natalie brings to the Chief Executive role, a combination of corporate, government, community and small business experience.
Prior to being appointed AIMSC’s inaugural Chief Executive, Natalie built the Indigenous social policy stream within KPMG’s Government Advisory Service. Natalie was the Chief Executive and director of the Aboriginal Employment Strategy and a director of NSW YWCA. Natalie is currently a member of the NSW Board of Vocational Education and Training. Natalie has also held roles in the Social Justice Unit in the Australian Human Rights Commission and the Queensland Government. In 2002, Natalie was a delegate to the United Nations Working Group on Indigenous Populations.
Natalie’s vision is for AIMSC to play a leading role in building a vibrant and prosperous Indigenous enterprise sector.
Mary Doherty, Head of Partnerships
Mary's association with business extends more than 20years. Mary was the General Manager of Sanctuary Energy a national renewable energy retailer. Previously she has been the Regional Manager of the NSW Business Chamber a non-profit, business organisation. She has lobbied on behalf of business to local, state and Federal government.
As a member of the Hunter Institute Advisory Council she works with business and educational institutions in developing answers to the high unemployment of young people through traineeships and apprenticeships. She has had directorships on various boards and has been a member of the Conservatorium of music, Bendigo Bank and the Regional Economic and Development Board to name a few.
Kate Marsden, Marketing Manager
Kate Joined AIMSC in 2010 as Marketing Manager, which is responsible for all marketing communications events held by and in partnership with AIMSC including Connect 2012.
She has broad international experience in Business, Marketing Management, Brand Marketing, Art Direction, Project Management and Event Management. Previous to her role at AIMSC Kate worked as Marketing Manager in the financial services sector for three years and has worked for over for many years in both Australia and the United Kingdom as Art Editor at various publishing companies.
