AIMSC Connect 2012, AIMSC Business Opportunity Fair/Tradeshow and Conference is the only event of its kind in Australia. Bringing together all of AIMSC’s corporate and Government buyers with AIMSC Certified suppliers to discuss business opportunities. Conference delegates will also have a unique opportunity to discuss supplier diversity and how it is developing in Australia.

The Australian Government’s commitment to Closing the Gap on Indigenous disadvantage is being demonstrated by the Indigenous Opportunities Policy (IOP) promoting Indigenous business. The extent of these policies within Government emphasise the importance placed on promoting the growth of Indigenous business.

AIMSC has a crucial role in driving and facilitating these aims through its certification of Indigenous business and linking them to corporate and Government Australia.

Day one offers a dynamic and interactive conference program with plenary sessions including prominent guest speakers. There will be workshop sessions, designed for members and Indigenous business suppliers along with opportunities to discuss the practical aspects of supplier diversity and developing business relationships.

Day two features a Business Opportunity Fair set up as an exhibition style Tradeshow. The Business Opportunity Fair/Tradeshow showcases a range business products and services from up to 100 AIMSC Certified suppliers.

The Gala Dinner will be a chance for everyone involved to celebrate the achievements of AIMSC’s corporate and Government members and Certified Indigenous businesses. We will also be presenting awards at the dinner to recognise those companies and individuals who have contributed significantly and played an active role in the Indigenous business arena in the Australian economy.

Purpose: To further develop supplier diversity in Australia. Connect 2012 will bring together AIMSC's corporate and Government members, Certified suppliers and stakeholder partners to create business opportunities, network and share thought leadership from our international affiliates and Australian stakeholders.
