Get involved with AIMSC
The Australian Indigenous Minority Supplier Council (AIMSC) provides a direct business-to-business purchasing link between corporate Australia, Government agencies and Indigenous owned businesses. AIMSC is a not-for-profit membership body for Australian companies and Government departments who are seeking to buy goods and services from Indigenous businesses.
The Australian Government’s commitment to Closing the Gap on Indigenous disadvantage is being demonstrated by the Indigenous Opportunities Policy (IOP) promoting Indigenous business. The extent of these policies within Government emphasise the importance placed on promoting the growth of Indigenous business.
AIMSC has a crucial role in driving and facilitating these aims through its certification of Indigenous business and linking them to corporate and Government Australia.
AIMSC members are corporate and Government organisations or not-for-profit organisations ready to diversify their supply chain.
“More and more Indigenous Australians, particularly representatives from the younger generations, tell us to avoid handouts… It is only this path, they say, that will enable Indigenous Australians to address their own communities’ problems.”
Stephen H. Roberts - Chairman, AIMSC & CEO, Citi Australia

AIMSC Certified suppliers are Indigenous companies that are majority owned, controlled and managed by Indigenous personnel.
“As an AIMSC Certified supplier, we have a direct link into the procurement and relevant contacts of large key organisations that are committed to building the economic interests of Indigenous businesses. As AIMSC has already started the dialogue we simply continue the conversation with the interest of building a long term relationship.”
David Williams - CEO, Gilimbaa
